Baitullah Mehsud Rival Zainuddin Shot Dead

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Qari Zainuddin, a rival commander of Baitullah Mehsood, was killed by a gunman Tuesday morning.

ARY NEWS citing the sources reported that Gulbuddin Mehsud, a close colleague of Qari Zainuddin, opened fire at him in Madeena Colony here this morning killing him on the spot.An aide of Zainuddin was seriously injured in the firing.

Qari Zainuddin Mehsud had recently announced his opposition to Baitullah Mehsud led terrorist attacks in Pakistan.

Zainuddin had recently disclosed that Taliban supremo Baitullah Mehsud has been involved in terror attacks in Pakistan and he was the mastermind of the assassination of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

Qari Zainuddin was a close aide of Mehsud but after martyrdom of Benazir Bhutto and attacks on mosques and public places in Pakistan he and his several aides had announced their opposition to Baitullah Mehsud.

Zainuddin Mehsud had also claimed that Baitullah Mehsudi was getting foreign currency and other assistance from the Indian embassy in Afghanistan for terror strikes within Pakistan.
